Bra hotell med god beliggenhet og betjening
Et hotell med meget god beliggenhet for shopping. Svært hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Vi fikk gratis frokost! Og var meget god. Fin bar. De gå oss en time ekstra før utskjekking. Et sted å reise tilbake til.

Amazing property, refurb is top class with lovely rooms. High street is lovely with plenty of other pubs and restaurants nearby. If you can’t get a space in the White Horse car park there is ample parking nearby.

Breakfast was very disorganised, insufficient cutlery, glasses etc on table. Presentation of food also poor. Empty plates were not collected from table so guests had to remove them onto spare tables to make room. Bedroom was dusty and a bit tatty. Lovely check in at reception, lady very friendly & helpful.

Well located, clean and comfortable. I had booked 2 nights separately due to change of plans. Was upgraded on first night to the better room that i had booked for second. Down side (which is partly out of the hotels control) is the noise from people returning between 11pm and 1am who have zero consideration and have liyd conversations at top of stairs and in corridor. No one present at check out to feed back to.

About to be closed for refurbishment so not in great condition at the moment. Small, poorly ventilated rooms. Lovely staff though!

The room was very nice but slow and patchy service especially at breakfast. Was also expecting a parking space instead of having to pay for a carpark overnight.

Staff was great, room was very comfortable, and clean. Only thing is that the rooms are very small and there is no air conditioning which I didnt realize when booking but they provided a fan and also since it wasn’t too hot outside the rooms were still nice and cool. The area of the hotel is great. Wonderful small town vibes with access to so many stores/ bars/ restaurants all within walking distance.

Eveything was very good exept from the suite we stayed in being extremely hot and there was no way of getting any airflow going due to locks on the windows. We had a little fan however it could not cope with it being warm weather.

The carpet in the room appeared old and worn. The room was right on the main Dorking High Street and was terribly noisy. The staff serving breakfast were obviously overworked as the table was not set properly, asked for more coffee - never came. I was offered a special breakfast rate which reception seemed to know nothing about. The whole experience was one I will not be repeating.

Lovely old hotel in the heart of town. We chose this hotel for proximity to Gatwick, while looking to avoid a airport hotel, and found it very pleasant. Very comfortable bed, and truly excellent shower! With no lift available, we did have to schlep our bags up stairs, but had assistance from a very helpful staffer. Only complaint is that there was not enough parking available for all guests, so we had to find our own parking in town.

Our room was excellent though the tv had to be fixed and the water in the sink took forever to drain away. The things that let this place down are the food and the add ons. Parking was a whopping £12.50 a night. We parked for free just across the road. The food was ridiculously over priced and very, very ordinary. Salt and pepper squid at £10 was expensive, even more so when we discovered it was battered squid not salt and pepper and for £10 you got just 5 tiny squid. We actually laughed. £20 for chicken and ham pie is way over priced. Especially when it's tasteless. My advice don't eat here. The outer doors to the restaurant area also kept blowing open with the wind and as a result several diners were eating with their coats on. Breakfast at £20 for both continental and full English was the most expensive ive ever come across. After our evening experience we didn't book it and when the next morning we took a sneaky look we were so glad we didn't. It looked less than ordinary. Instead we took breakfast at the Turkish place across the road and it was excellent. Stay here but dont eat here.

Great Hotel
We stayed at the White Horse after a long walk, the rooms were nicely decorated and clean, and the bed was comfortable. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and had breakfast at the hotel, the food was great on both occasions with plenty of choice. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a hotel in the area

Cosy bedroom, warm and clean. Reception staff were excellent. General appearance of the hotel is great. Restaurant staff could be a little friendlier (some, not all) and presentation of hot food (breakfast) could be improved.

Stayed whilst visiting friends. Spent 2 nights over the weekend. Quiet, warm and comfortable bed. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff perhaps could be a little warmer, attentive - no explanation of the menu / dining experience was offered for breakfast. Food was fine, a little garnish to make it more presentable wouldn’t go a miss.

great facilities and location.
overall the facilities and location were great. sadly, it was brought down by my first impression and contact with a staff member. as there were no parking spaces available, i went in to ask about this. as it had said on the site, "free parking available". i told the staff member this, and it seemed like she was ttelling me off for not ringing up. i was not made aware at all during the booking process, you had to call to reserve a parking space, no infomation was provided, but she seemed to insist it was my fault. she was quite stubborn and almost aggressive in her attitude and to be honest should not be front of house staff.

We had a great stay. The room in the tower was great for the three of us. The lady on reception was brilliant. Great location to get to train station and town center amenities.

Great stay
We only stayed the one night but from the little we experienced I would happily stay here again - nice hotel and good food and service although the bar was a little busy for the two they had serving. Very happy to recommend - rooms were lovely - very clean and well appointed for weekend/short stay.
