Great place
Had a great time at Spayhiti. The room was big and comfortable, huge bathroom, nice sitting area outside and the biggest pillow I've ever had. The owners were so nice as well! Would defenetly stay there again!

Tosi mukivien saksalaisomistajien keidas keskellä "kiinaa". Loistava mesta. Ranta-alue on vain alle sata metriä, mutta hyvä. Sääli, että kaikki tuhotaan..kiinalaiset rakentavat tien rannan läpi kasinoille !!!! Voi olla jo nyt tuhottu, alkoi meidän ollessa siellä. Nyt jo kaikki on kiinalaista..aivan kaikki..2 kauppaa lähellä, joisss vain kiinalaisia tuotteita ylihintaan. Sihaunokville on menetetty kiinalaisille. Menisinkö uudelleen..varmasti jos mikään ei muuttuisi, nykytilanteen vallitesa en menisi. Kaikkialla rakennustöitä, pölyä, ..ja kiinaa, kiinaa....

Will definitely stay again
Loved every minute of staying here. The couple that own it are lovely people and the staff are brilliant. It has a family atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for anyone there. It is right by the beach and river. Has a small swimming pool too. I will definitely stay again

Tolle Pension, die besten Betten in Kambodscha
Tolle Pension, die besten Betten in Kambodscha die wir je hatten. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig, und tolle Auswahl. Terrasse mit gemütlicher Sitzgelegenheiten. Der Besitzer, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gegenüber liegt ein herrlicher Strand. Keine Frage, wir kommen wieder.

Schöne Unterkunft im abschreckenden Sihanoukville
Sehr bequeme Betten (im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Unterkünften sind sie weicher), gutes (aber ohne Abwechslung) Frühstück, sehr schöner Aussenbereich mit Sitzlandschaft. Netter Empfang und immer da, wenn man Fragen hat. Nicht gut fanden wir die Glastür, die die Toilette vom Zimmer abtrennt. Die Umgebung war bestimmt mal schön. Direkte Strandlage mit guten, aber etwas teurerem Restaurant vor der Tür. Ansonsten nur von Baustellen und Müll umgeben. Dieser Umbau ist aber leider in komplett Sihanoukville zu spüren, indem Chinesische Investoren Casinos aus dem Boden stampfen. Abends ist nach 20.30 Uhr nichts mehr zu machen.

Relax a bit on the beach
Helpful staff and very friendly owners made the stay relaxing. The beach in front of the hotel is a nice spot to chill and enjoy some cold beers.

Little slice of heaven

Excellent hotel very close to the beach
We really loved our stay in Spayhiti. We booked it for one night but stayed there 5 nights. Everything worked so well. Owners and stuff made us feel very welcomed. Our daughter got a stomachflu somewhere on the second night. the owners gave her a medicine and kept asking is she ok. Breakfast is really good and Red curry soup on the menu is really delicious. Hotel pool is good and the beach is right across the street. Beach towels are also included. Afterall we really enjoyed are stay in this little hidden paradise. <3

Nice resort at the beach.
The owners made the stay very pleasent. He took us to beach voleyball and made a very nice BBQ one night. She makes very nice German meat balls and helps with anything you need. She even washed and irond some clothes for free. The beach in front is very nice and get cleaned every morning, also the small restaurants at the beach are good. Overall we had a good time in a nice resort.

Really good experience
My friend and I stayed for 3 nights . The beach is private and clean. Very nice. Breakfast is made to order. I ate omelets and bread also good. I did not try the dinners at the hotel but the hotel next door has very good food served al fresco if you want. Nana was very helpful as were the owners / managers. I would recommend to anyone. Good things for the money.

Familjärt och prisvärt
Kerstin and Gerhardt är mycket välkomnande, utåtriktade, roliga och generösa. Vi hade några trevliga kvällar tillsammans. Deras vänner gillar att hänga i baren och restaurangen, vilket ger en familjekänsla. Alla är välkomna i gänget och allt man ber om fixar Kerstin och Gerhardt. Frukosten lagades av en trevlig fransman från byn och det snålades inte med maten. Närmaste strand är nedsmutsad och vattnet inte så rent, vilket delvis beror på vindarnas riktning. Men går man över kullen till nästa vik finns en lååååång, fin sandstrand fylld med restauranger och barer. Där finns även vattenaktiviteter för stora och små.

Maybe bad timing
We usually use Expedia reviews as a guide, and frankly, are a bit unsure of why Spayhiti has such a high rating. To be sure, there were some specific issues that may have been seasonal (bugs and construction) but the fact remains our room (and those of other guests) was horribly overrun with mosquitos. Otherwise we found the room pretty basic (no duvet) and with a hodgepodge assortment of amenities. The location of the hotel (a short, somewhat counter-intuitive walk to Otres Beach) is good, but it it feels a bit stuck in the middle between Ochedetchal (sp?) beach (which is really awful) and Otres (which is a backpacker/hostel joint). Overall it was a bit like staying a night with an eccentric cousin - it wasnt terrible but wouldn’t recommend.

New Hotel at the Beach
I liked everything about this hotel. It is right on the beach. The German couple who runs it are wonderful. The hotel is brand new, which is a pleasure. The breakfast is excellent.

Awesome stay. Loved it.
Warm welcome on arrival by hosts Gerald and Kerstin set the scene for a wonderful stay of nine days in total. Stored our luggage while we went to the island of Ko Rong Sanloem. Spayhiti is located at the southern end of Occheuteal Beach and is a quiet hotel which is just how we like our holidays to be. The pool on-site is well maintained , we used it just about everyday. The garden area is nicely kept and provides privacy between the rooms with outdoor furniture for each room outside the bedroom. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water in the shower. Toiletries and all linen is provided including beach towels and mats. The aircon was excellent, a ceiling fan also in place if you didn't want the aircon. There was also a fridge, kettle, coffee and tea and two bottles of water everyday. The Television was wall mounted and there was a small table with two stools inside. Breakfast was included –eggs, bread, coffee, tea and a nice bowel of fruit. Night meals by arrangement – loved Gerald's fish dish with a home made black pepper sauce-superb, and Kerstin's attention to detail with hotel presentation was appreciated. WiFi excellent. This hotel has easy access to the beach (about 50 metres away) and backs onto the river at the rear where the dining area is located. Spayhiti was the best place for accommodation we stayed at whilst in Cambodia and would highly recommend it. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel next to river and beach
We recently stayed at Spayhiti and were somewhat disappointed by our experience. The main contributing factors for this was the cleanliness of the hotel, the condition of the beach, and the breakfast meals. Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff who offered us breakfast while we waited for our room to be ready. Once we entered the room, several hours later, the garbage had not been taken out from the previous guests and we believe the bedding had not been changed because we saw blood stains on the sheets. Also, our "premium bedding" were two small blankets. (The bed was quite comfortable which was nice). We were hopeful they would be changed in our next daily cleaning, but the trash was not taken out until the end of our 3 day stay and the bedding wasn't changed at all. The entrance of our room smelled strongly of pee, bugs were everywhere, and we saw lots of animal fecies in multiple areas outside of the guest house including the dining area. The beach, being right next to the river, had litter everywhere on the sand and the water. Now about the breakfasts provided - My husband and I both got severe food poisoning from eating breakfast and chose not to eat the next day. When we checked out, we were asked to pay for the meal we had when we first arrived (which we thought was included in our payments) even though we hadn't eaten for one of the days - we felt this to be very cheap of them. The staff were nice, but we would advise others to look elsewhere.

Dear Guest thanks for visit our hotel but maybee your review you mean a other hotel. the normalst of the world is change the bedsheets by check out - check in food poisonning have nobody in our hotel, if you have a food poisoning you must go to the hospital 95% our guest is absolut happy with our cleanless and our very good breakfast....if you come on the first day early in the morning and the room is free you can check in you pay no money more but the breakfast is not includet than....normaly your review is not correctly what you write with animals, we clean our rooms every day and we dont have animals in the room. ok maybee a gecko or a flyer but this is from customer if she have open the door for a long term...think....in the nature here in the tropics are animals. Great hospitality
The lady that owns and runs this hotel is very welcoming. Each room comes with a comfortable outdoor seating area. Breakfast was substantial and tasty. The beach is quite dirty and I found travelling a short distance to another beach was a better option.

大変よく面倒を見てくれるオーナーとスタッフ。心温まるホテル
とても良くしていただきました。 部屋は小さいですが十分です。 面している小さな川の匂いが少しします。 目の前のビーチも少し匂いますので、気になる方はすぐ左の小さな橋を渡って右にある小山を超えて 山向こうのビーチへ行けばとてもきれいなビーチです。歩いて5分＾＾ 大きなハマグリがたくさんいました＾＾ ゴールデンライオンから7～8ｋｍ離れてるので、ホテルのレンタルバイクを活用しましょう。

Lieber gast schade, dass es ihnen scheinbar nicht bei uns gefallen hat. Ihre detaillierten Kritikpunkten kann ich leider nicht nachverfolgen. Wenn sie meinen in einem beachguesthouse waere ei buegeleisen im zimmer liegen sie falsch. Sie haetten auf nachfrage jederzeit eins erhalten. Ich hoffe fuer sie dass die in Zukunft auch mal positive Erfahrunen in ihrem leben erfahren, 95% meiner Gaeste konnten diese bei uns erfahren. MFG Gerald Seeger Owner Spayhiti

Chambre confortable
Chambre propre et bien équipée, salle d'eau fonctionnelle et piscine agréable quand on sait que les cambodgiens se baignent tout habillés à la plage. Très bon restaurant au sunset lounge et personnel très agréable juste à côté. Je ne sais pas ce que valent les chambres mais ça vaut le coup de s'y arrêter.

The hotel was ok, overall . The problem is the location, is too far from the town and the area is very empty and unatractive. Good thing they rent you a moto so that should help to get around . The service was fine and the breakfast is a la carta which was good. Honestly we did not like that town at all. Not much to do. Even saids its on the Beach , that was not a beach at all.

Dear Johana iam not happy if i read your review.....our area is 10 min from noisy Partytown, we are direct on the beach, you can read and see out place by google map or whereever. if you dont like the nature and want to have big buildings you must check your booking better before. great people and great place
This place was AMAZING. The owners were so kind and so helpful. They offered us beer when we got there. They told us everything we needed to know about the surrounding area and a few cool places to go. She helped me with getting a carton of cigarettes and the breakfast was always perfect. Great value lovely staff
I had such a lovely stay at this hotel and will definitely be staying again. Great value and location, the owners do a great job running the place and make you feel like family. Very lovely friendly housekeeping girls do a fantastic job. One day i will be drinking again at this place I am sure of it.

Great price for a secluded and quiet location
Gerald and Kirsten are delightful, hosts/owner of this place, very attentive and willing to help out anyway they can. We where a bit disappointed with the location due to the trash on the beach, but to be honest no matter how secluded, there was was trash on the beach or in the ocean everywhere and was not something that Spayhiti could control, for their part their sliver of private beach was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was awesome, I only experience my last day there and I am sad that I didn't do it the two days beforehand, always running around early prevented this. Aloha restaurant down the street on the left had decent food, as well as Gerald and Kirsten offer a dinner menu if you are looking for places to eat. Rooms are cleaned, well stocked, and the a/c is excellent. Thank you Gerald and Kirsten.

Lovely place
A great little get away. It's a bit out of town and the police don't like westerners on peds but Spayhiti is lovely. Gerald and team were great!

Schönes Hotel mit unglaublich lieben Besitzern
Toller Aufenthalt an einer ruhigen Lage in Sihanoukville und auch einer der wahrscheinlich schönsten Strandabschnitte da. Das Hotel ist zwar etwas ausserhalb gelegen, aber das war mir gerade Recht. Super freundliche und hilfsbereite Manager die mir sehr mit der Organisation meiner Weiterreise geholfen haben. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Great getaway steps from the beach.
First off I want to say the Kerstin and Gerald were some of the nicest people I've met in my travels. They were always asking if everything was ok and if they could do anything for me. I spent a week in one of their spacious rooms with a king sized bed, a mini fridge that was always stocked and the BEST shower in SE Asia! No lie. I loved every minute of my time there. The resort is right across from the Occhetual beach and only about a 7 minute walk to Otres 1. They had loungers on their part of the Bach, which I might add, was the cleanest beach in Sihanoukville. I would highly recommend this place for anyone, solo or couples. It was one of the best places I've ever stayed in. And of course, it's definitely great value!

New hotel at secluded beach
Spayhiti is a newly-built hotel just a 2 minute walk to a nice, quiet beach and ocean. Owner/operator is a friendly German couple both excellent cooks serving breakfast and fun dinner.meals to guests. Each of the 10 rooms has a small garden area in front. Pool on site. We enjoyed hanging out at the resort for a week.

So toll, dass wir gleich noch mal gebucht hatten
Wir starteten mit 3 Übernachtungen in Sihanoukville, besser gesagt im Spayhiti und fühlten uns gleich so wohl, dass wir unsere Urlaubsplanung kurzer Hand umgeschmissen haben. Denn statt im Anschluss nach Kampot und Kep weiterzufahren, ließen wir Kep aus und kamen wieder zurück nach Sihanoukville. Leider hat es sich inzwischen herumgesprochen, wie schön, ruhig, gemütlich und sauber dieses Hotel ist, so dass wir statt weiteren 9 Nächten nur noch weitere 3 Nächte hier übernachten konnten :-(. Es ist eine kleine Oase die von Gerald und Kerstin geführt wird, mit denen wir uns gleich super verstanden. Es war fast so, als ob man sich schon ewig kennen würde. Noch dazu gab es hier definitiv das frischeste Frühstück! Eigentlich ist Frühstück für uns nur zweitrangig, aber hier ließen wir keins ausfallen :-). Ich könnte noch stundenlang weiterschwärmen, aber Romane wollte ich nicht schreiben. Einfach buchen und selber genießen.

Amazing Hosts and lovely location
We stayed at Spayhiti in November 2016 and had a lovely stay. The location was perfect - away from the business of Sihnoukville (sp?) and right across from the beach. We had an amazing day walking to Otres and lounging beach side. The hosts were amazing! A highlight of our stay there. The breakfast in the morning was filling and delicious. One night Gerald (sp?) cooked an incredible barracuda dinner. It was delicious! We will definitely be back! The Aloha restaurant down the road was a great place to eat, drink and relax.

Auch beim zweiten mal wunderbar
Uns hat es hier so gut gefallen, dass wir nach einem Aufenthalt auf den umliegenden Inseln zurück gekehrt sind um die letzten Urlaubstage hier zu genießen. Es waren wirklich ein paar schöne und erholsame Tage und wir sind froh dass wir wiedergekommen sind! Wir emfehlen das Spayhiti gerne weiter und bedanken uns bei Kerstin und Gerald für die Gastfreundschaft.

The perfect retreat
Lovely quiet relaxing hotel, right on its own private beach. Surrounded by a handful of bars and restaurants, it's also very cheap & easy to jump on a tuk tuk to the town centre or alternative beaches. Super friendly owners as well who will do anything for you.
