Fishing, boating, relaxing Located in the heart of Daviess co. IN amish country
3 story house built in 2001 located on 5 acres with fishing and boating pond. We have a wood burning stove for cozy winter nights, and two air conditioners for the summer heat. Located in Southern Indiana Amish country there are plenty of quaint shops and interesting sites to visit. There is a children's playground, and plenty of deck space for a nice outdoor barbecue on our Trager wood pellet fired grill. There is great Amish cooking only 15 minutes away, as well as a wonderful Mexican restaurant located in Odon. We are also only 45 min from French Lick IN resort area with 2 PGA qualified golf courses plenty of 5 star restaurants, and Casino action for those who desire. All in all the best accommodations Daviess County has to offer.

The whole house is available, or upon special reservations, you can rent as many rooms as your accommodations require.

Space for the whole family
The house is very nice, with large bedrooms and plenty of space for a big group. It is in a remote area, with few stores near, so bring everything you need. We chose the option of having the hosts prepare some meals. The food was excellent, with large quantities.

Great time had by all!
Our family enjoyed the space the home offered. Kids had fun fishing, paddle boating, bike riding and just being kids!! Lots of games and toys available at the home. Nice sunrises on back porch, sunsets on front porch. We highly recommend Green Gables and would visit again!

Perfect for our needs!
I get together with 5 of my college buddies (and our growing families) every year. Our group has gotten quite large (with the addition of 7 children) and spread out over the years. We needed a central meeting place for our vacation. This house fit our needs perfectly! It was spacious and incredibly kid-friendly! We have 6 different family units and it never felt crowded. We had such a relaxing time here! Would definitely recommend!

Loved every minute of it!
With a family vacation with 17 people age ranging from 6-79 we have no complaints. This house is wonderful and we had plenty of room and space. The kids had so much fun fishing (and catching). Kept them busy for hours each day!! Couldn't have had a better experience.

Wonderful for 18 people
We rented this home for a family gathering of 18 people. It was wonderful! Each married couple got their own comfortable room, most of us with a private bathroom, too. There are three rooms with multiple beds. We used the one that sleeps five for the 6 girl cousins and another for the 4 boy cousins. Everyone had a wonderful time. The living areas are spacious and open, but separated enough for various groups to enjoy different activities. There are many picture opportunities around the property, especially on the porches. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook for the group. We ordered take-out from Kaufee Haus; it was delicious and well-priced. WiFi was great throughout. Kids enjoyed a water play day, including the paddle boat on the property. We also enjoyed the fire pit on our last night. We had a learning curve for the pellet grill, but it definitely made delicious chicken! I highly recommend Steve and Naomi's home and hope to return someday!

Family Christmas!
The house was perfect for our family Christmas. We had bedrooms for everyone, seclusion, good wi fi for the kids and an activity center nearby with basketball courts. Steve, the owner, even arranged a horse and buggy ride for the family! If you want a large, clean secluded home, look no further!

A lovely home
This place is someones home, was surprised how much of their home decorations were around. Which at first concerned me with having children with us, but all went well. We were pleasantly pleased with our stay, it was spacious and relaxing. Everything was as described. A lovely place for a family gathering.

Family Reunion
Grabers Green Gables is a very beautiful, spacious, gorgeous home inside and out. It sits is in the Amish countryside which is equally beautiful as the home. The home is everything you would need for a get together or just time to unwind and appreciate the quiet. We rented the GGG for a family reunion and it accommodated all of our needs from young to old, for a Friday-Sunday event. All family members verbally expressed how wonderful the GGG was and they are keeping it on their list of places to stay when they travel back to the area. Our main meal for Saturday was catered by the Grabers and all the food was delicious, and made from scratch. Pies, fried chicken, baked ham, homemade green beans, Mac & Cheese, tossed salad, Amish bread and more. Everyone was more than impressed with the meal and we appreciated the fact we didn’t have to prepare it. If there was anything needed the Grabers were very gracious in answering all question before we arrived and we were checking out. As a matter of fact my husband and myself decided to stay a 3 night at the GG. My cousin and her husband wanted to stay the extra night and were unable due to a prior commitment. I can’t say enough about the GG or the Grabers they are so gracious. Thank you.

Our family get away
The Green Gables B and B is a beautiful, huge and quiet home, which was really nice since we had 6 grandkids with us. It accommodated our large family well. Everyone really enjoyed our stay. The owners were very helpful and nice to deal with. The only negative for me was I like to unpack and put my clothes in drawers and in the master bedroom there were none empty, but I would definitely book again. It is a lovely place. We really enjoyed seeing all the buggies and the Amish people as they rode by. Thank you Naomi and Steve

Perfect Setting For Family Celebration!
Green Gables was the perfect setting for our family celebration! There was so much space and it was very clean with everything we needed to be comfortable. This home was a perfect location for our family reunion. Steve & Naomi were awesome to work with!
Communication with Steve & Naomi was easy and ongoing. The property was exactly as described. Our children enjoyed playing inside and outside. Lots of toys were provided. We had a lot of space to gather as a family for eating, talking, and activities. It was a perfect weekend!

Graduation
We had a large group for my grandsons graduation and the house had so much room for all of us. We never felt like we were on top of each other. The grounds were beautiful, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. We would definitely rent it again.
