For the amount you pay for the Arlo, one would expect more.
The good:
-location. Walk to Soho and the Hudson River
-nice, large lounge area
-comfortable bed!
The bad:
-the room. TINY!!! We had a king bed room, and there is barley enough room for 2 people to stand in it. The toilet and shower are part of the room and only separated by frosted glass, and the only door to the toilet/shower is a frosted glass sliding door, that doesn't even come close to closing tightly. If you are someone who likes privacy, I would NOT recommend this hotel.
-There is NO mini-fridge. It looks like there is one, but I when I said that it wasn't working, I was told that it was a "cooler", not a refrigerator, and was only meant for beverages (I guess if you like warm beverages?)
-the reading light on one side of the bed was broken, and couldn't be fixed.
- The restaurant (The Linden). My husband and I went for breakfast, which was NOT included, and it was the WORST food ever! We both ordered a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. It was served on a hamburger bun, and the sausage was raw in the middle, so we sent it back to be cooked longer. It came back and was so bad that neither of us could eat it. I thought the meat had gone bad. Turns out that it is LAMB sausage! Had I known that, I would have ordered the "Impossible" plant based sausage. The waiter was exceptional, and he did discount our bill, which was nice.
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be staying at the Arlo again.
