Most of the times that I have stayed at Pride Inn have been perfectly fine. But this time, the hotel was hosting a major event while I stayed there and they were unable to control the group that was staying at the hotel, which was about 10 very loud and VERY drunk rugby teams from all over the world. Guests were complaining about naked men in their hallways and the hotel was not able to do anything. The event was in the central courtyard which all the rooms face, and likely continued until early in the morning.

I spent 6 days there and everything was fine and added an extra day The problem and what left a very bad impression is while checking out the receptionist said i have to pay more than what i paid for the extra day and that informed the morning receptionist that i will stay alone which i didnt do and i showed him the receipt i paid that said its a double room He treated me as if i am a theif and intended to just inform me just before leaving And unfortentally while this situation i forgot my backpack infront of him and left to airport and he didn't call me or the hotel driver so we can get it , and we just discovered that on the airport and were forced to return to the hotel to take it and i was gonna miss the flight Other staff were to friendly all of my stay but unfortentally this man was the last one saw so left a veryyyy bad impression

Basic but clean.
A basic, but clean hotel. Rooms have a fan - no A/C, no mosquito nets. Fan was loud so I could not keep it on at night. Walls are thin - TV in next room, doors opening and closing was easily heard.

Not enough favilities compared to the room charges
The staff tried to do their best but they lacked basix housekeeping skills. The hotel charged heavily conpared to the facilities provided. Food was average in taste.

Disappointing...Do not stay here.
Pride Inn is VERY hard to find (there are actually 3 pride inns on rhapta road). None of the taxi drivers know where it is. After finding the first two, we were told the correct one was the third one, and then the staff came running out to tell us that the third one (where we were booked) was fully booked and that there was no accommodation there and therefore had to settle on the second. Very disappointing indeed. I would urge travelers to avoid this hotel until they get their act together.

I made a Reservation more than 6 months in advance, but they were surprised by our arrival. The front desk clerk scrambled to find a room for us. We were taken to an old (original?) room with two bare florescent bulbs on the ceiling, peeling paint, and just generally run down. It was nothing like the rooms pictured on the website. The breakfast area was pleasant and the food okay.

Friendly Staff
We were only here for one night and it suited our needs. The room felt a bit tired, though it was a good size with a fridge and sink. It also felt secure. The view from our room was not good as we were looking at the bins, however we were on the ground floor. The mosquito net over the bed was lying on our heads and feet until we moved the bed and stretched the net to keep it tight. The shower didn’t look great but it was hot and powerful enough. We didn’t really get to see the surrounding area as we were only there for one night as part of a flight transfer, we did take a short taxi ride to eat at Fogo Gaucho Churrascaria which we recommend going to. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice of fruit, cereals, hot food and juice. There is a chef there that will cook eggs for you however you like, I had scrambled and they were superb. Travelling to and from the airport can take longer than expected due to a serious amount of traffic on the roads. There is also car parking spaces.

It does what it says on the tin - smiley face
Given that it's in Nairobi not London, the service, facilities, food, cleaniliness and professionalism and friendliness of the staff was excellent. Great value for money, you're getting what you pay for. I'd recommend it to friends. As a lone female I felt safe and comfortable in the hotel. The area appeared fine but I didn't have time to venture out during the day and wouldn't go out at night alone anyway.

There was almost no water coming in washing basin ( just drops of water )and shower water was also very less and very hot there was no way to mix and make it better.It was not fixed even after complain, room was clean but due to just next to main gate there was regular noise from gate opening closing upto even after mid night . I will not recommend this hotel.

Advertised different to reality
The website presents a reasonable room but the reality was a disappointment. Although the room was spacious, it was old, musty and the bed was 2 singles bolted together. The advertised 21inch plasma TV was a crappy little box. While the restaurant and breakfast was ok, the menu items were not always available. Still, the staff were generally helpful.

We were pleasantly surprised with the price and size of the rooms we were allocated, On arrival, we discovered the rooms were disgusting suites which were unsafe and dirty. Nothing worked. Be very careful about the room you accept. The rooms we were eventually allocated where modern and clean.

Very Disappointing
I booked this hotel because the rooms appeared modern and comfortable and also for the pool as I was arriving in Nairobi after a very long flight and needed a comfy refuge to get over my journey. When I arrived I was placed in a very shabby room which had soiled bed linen, an uncomfortable bed, no kettle and a very run down bathroom. The pool was a shade of green and not fit for swimming. The staff admitted that even though I had booked two months ahead as they were busy I had been placed in a substandard room! Overall an unpleasant stay.

Adequate Accommodations for the Cost
Many Nairobi hotels have become very pricey. This hotel is an exception, being at least 50% less than we were being quoted elsewhere, and has its pluses and its minuses. On the plus side, it was relatively inexpensive ($100/day, including breakfast), the rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the service was adequate. The neighborhood appears safe, and security was not a concern. On the negative side, it could use more maintenance (e.g., the shower handle came off in my hand when I turned on the shower; it was, however, quickly repaired). Contrary to Hotels.com description of the hotel, it is not air conditioned, nor does it have ceiling fans. Fortunately, the temperature in Nairobi was sufficiently cool during this season that it wasn't uncomfortable sleeping in the room. It may be less comfortable during the Kenyan summer. It also is relatively isolated, not being near enough to walk to shopping centers or restaurants. A cab is required to go anywhere. You can't make long-distance calls from the hotel rooms, but have to have the office dial them for you. In closing, I would have preferred a slightly higher-quality hotel, but it would have come at a significantly higher price. So, as my title indicates, it is a very adequate and satisfactory hotel for the price, and I will likely stay there again when I return to Nairobi for future scientific meetings.

Nice hotel in Nairobi
I booked this hotel for the one day I was in Nairobi. I tried to get a cab to pick me up at the airport. The number on expedia was incorrect, and the number on its own website was short a digit. I did find another number but to a different Pride Inn. The woman said she would arrange the cab anyway but she did not. I informed the staff at reception when I arrived and their response was that they are not the ones responsible for the websites. Other than that, the place felt safe, the restaurant was good, the room was spacious. I had a set up where you had to pass through the shower room to get to the toilet and sink which tracked some dirty and slippery footprints around after my hot shower. There was a nice kitchenette I did not use and the beds were comfortable but did not have mosquito nets.

Modern Room
Room was modern and suspect recently refurbished. The first room we were offered was rather tired and in need of modernisation. however the staff were friendly and helpful and were happy to change rooms for us. the bed could have been better as it was two singles joined in the middle and the join was most uncomfortable. The hot breakfast buffet was adequate and meals in the restaurant were very good. Strangely the hotel had to send out for orders of alcohol. Overall a comfortable stay and would visit again.

Pride Inn Hotel, Rhapta Road, Mozzies and bed
I had a quite unexpected bad experience with this hotel. The room I was put into was very large and had its own kitchen, which was all very nice, but I had no need for it. All I wanted was a comfy bed with protection from the mosquitoes. Which unfortunately was not what I got. The bed was exceedlingly hard, and I was dive bombed by mozzies all night. There was no mozzie net to protect me. The food was very poor which was a surprise too as I opted for the curry. It was salty and had shards of bone in it. On a positive note, the staff were very welcoming and polite.

Nice clean hotel on Rhapta Road, Nairobi
I wasn't sure about booking this hotel because the photos didn't look that great, but I was pleasantly suprised. The staff were very attentive and effcicient and the room was super clear with nice white sheets and good comfortable bed. The Royal kitchen restaurant also proved very useful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for someone who wants something reasonably priced but clean and nice.

the location of the room i recive was nest to the gurd and they intend service every prson come to the hotel meanig lots of conversations under my window!!! mantanenc, water suplay are very poor breakfast very poor !!! now buter avelabel only Margerine ferntur in the room are wabeling means bad mantanence!!!

good internet, chaotic front desk, rooms a bit mildewy. not bad but not a great value for the price
