We were in London in middle of heatwave, and this property did not have any air conditioner. Just a small evaporative aircooler in just one room, and the other rooms had small fans which were ineffective. The temperature inside the room would routinely reach 30C/86F. Also turning on the kitchen stove would make entire room even hotter, because there were no venting ducts for the hot air to escape.
Also there we no shower doors/curtains and taking a shower would make the entire floor wet and slippery...might not be good option for people with disability or old people who could easily fall.
The apartment was not very clean, especially some of the bedroom closets had a lot of dust.
On the positive side, the location was excellent. There was many stores right outside the property including a large waitrose (grocery store), a lot of restaurants, and it was very easy to hail cabs.
The apartment was very well stocked with toiletries and kitchen equipments, and the owner was very prompt in responding to our questions.
However one of the security guards and some fellow residents kept asking if we were in a short term rental and that it was illegal. The owner however assured us that it was completely legal, and they were paying taxes for it.
