Great value
Perfect for a single or a couple. At 1000 feet elevation it cools off at night for great sleep. A short drive to many restaurants and beaches. I'll be back.

Privacy and Views
The place was so great with the privacy and views! The outdoor shower was amazing and the stargazing too. Would have been great having a burner plate of some sort to cook with. Otherwise it was perfect and Michael and Amanda were so quick to get back to us with any concerns we had!

Perfect little Oasis
Perfect little Oasis for our 1 night in Kona. Enjoyed everything about it. Only thing I would suggest is to add a box fan to the property to cool the room down in the evening. We loved it.

Lovely oasis
Lots of thought and attention to detail was involved creating this place. The property is completely private and the artistic touches give it such a warm and friendly feel. Although we had to leave early due to weather my husband and I enjoyed our stay so much! It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary!

Rustic in the Hills
We stayed during the rainy season...And you can't control the weather. The rain made the outdoor lanai unusable for us, but it looked like it would've been fun. The property really is nice, remote, and quiet during the daytime. At night you'd enjoy the many bird, frog, and creature calls. The rain made us have to retreat to the small indoor area which was humid and wet, and the ceiling fan was no match for the weather. Since there was no A/C (I knew there was no A/C when I booked), there was no way to be comfortable. The host's artwork is a nice touch. The French Press Coffee Station is a nice touch. The Outside Shower is a nice touch. The photos are accurate. The bathroom toilet really is in the bedroom/kitchen area, and the only sink is the kitchen sink. A new mattress would be a priority, as the deeply sunken center made my spouse roll into it, and I clinged onto the side of the mattress. Not upset at the accommodations, location, or hosts. The weather and mattress made it inconvenient for us.

Great time high about Kailua-Kona!
Spotless little hideaway! The views are amazing from way up above Kailua-Kona Town. This little place is perfect if you don't mind kind of roughing it a bit. The room has a toilet and a sink, so it's not really roughing it.The outdoor shower is private, with hot water and natural soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The king size bed is raised up so that when you sit up you can see out the window! The only thing that I didn't quite understand from the description is that the parking is actually on the street. Once my brain figured it out, it was fine! The patio is amazing with several places to sit and relax.

Cozy getaway
Cozy spot, perfect for my wife and I who live in a big city. Had great views of the ocean, we had a great time. Be prepared to drive about 15-20 minute but the drive are beautiful scenery.

Anniversary trip
My husband and I stayed here for three nights on our tour of the Hawaiian islands. We absolutely loved this guest home. It was clean, comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. The views looking over Kona and the ocean were amazing. The lanai was gorgeous! We did spend an evening sitting out there enjoying listening to the frogs. It is a beautiful home! We would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.

Exactly what we were looking for!
This nice little place was perfect for us. Location was great, the view was spectacular, it was super clean and comfortable (the coffee was great too!), and Amanda was a perfect host. Check-in/out was completely painless. Couldn't ask for more!

Perfect Hilltop Hideaway
The description of this spot & photos don’t do it justice - this is the kind of place you imagine staying in when on the islands. Great views. Comfortable accommodations, easy to get to town, beaches, hiking, etc. Amanda & Michael are super helpful & responsive. Can’t wait to return.

Quaint, Quiet, Restful
We like being away from the crowds and enjoy nature so this Ohana fills those preferences very well. Love the privacy and the spectacular view from the patio. If you must be close to the noise of town then this isn’t your choice. That said we were a short beautiful 15 minute drive from most attractions. The outdoor shower, what can we say, we didn’t want to get out! The bed and linens were incredibly comfortable. Slept with just the screen door closed and loved the soothing sounds of the rainforest. Hosts were helpful but not intrusive. We definitely plan a return trip.

Lovely location
This place is as just outside the city and way from all the chaos. Loved listening to the frogs and birds. Cute little place with wonderful hosts. The outside shower was a great feature!!

Private setting with great view!
We booked this unit for my Son and Daughter-in-law while they were visiting us in Kona. They loved the private patio and amazing view. They also enjoyed exploring the nearby Holualoa town and found great stores, coffee shops and restaurants. This property is near Kona, Captain Cook, lots of coffee farms and hiking trails. They would definitely stay here again!

✨Mahalo Amanda & Michael, you both have created a retreat to accommodate every need. Appreciated the snacks dearly, comfortable bed, lanai space to relax and eat dinner. We were also treated to a beautiful full moon. Snorkeled at Kahala’u beach park and saw a day octopus 🐙, super exciting, hence our title. Looking forward to our return in December before we fly out! Fantastic stay!
This place is a real gem. The outdoor area is amazing. We loved having our morning coffee here and hanging out enjoying the view. Although the place is quite small, everything is very well thought out and organized. We had a very comfortable stay. It is extremely clean, even the outdoor shower is spotless. My husband and I are pretty picky about this and we were impressed! What makes this stay extra special is the host. She included so many extra conveniences including coffee, tea, bottled water, snacks, etc as well as a cooler, beach towels and chairs, etc. All communication with her was really helpful, prompt, and friendly.
