Despite the fact that it has the facilities that qualify this as a 4-star hotel, I'd call it a 3-star. It's a simple, decent hotel, clearly from the 80's and not renovated since then. But it's definitely clean, and I had a pleasant stay. Next time I'll probably pay a little more a modern and slightly more luxury hotel though.
The receptionists speak English, something that isn't self-evident in Las Palmas.
Rooms are street-side, and it can be noisy until late. But if you want silence all night, don't choose a hotel in the city. Breakfast is acceptable; there's enough choice, but the quality is acceptable. Nothing wrong with it, just not "4-star". The restaurant on the 6th floor gives a marvelous view of the beach and the Atlantic. For lunch and dinner, walk the 50m to the beach-boulevard and eat at one of the numerous restaurants there.
The short distance to the beach is a great advantage.
