We had a business trip in Elk city, Oklahoma. on which i had brought my family and invited my brother and his Family. upon arrival 11pm there was the front desk lady outside smoking her cigarette to which she looked discomforted upon our arrival, i mentioned that i had previously checked in over the phone and i asked for my key card, i gave her my contact info and throughout this time her tone was more of a demand as she was talking and attitude towards us was poor, i didn't let it bother me as i just wanted to unpack and get my family to the room. she upsettingly told me that she couldn't find me in the system and went and asked for my brother for his info as his last name was the only one pulling up. after his initial check in she started to gather all my info and i asked her if my previous amount was going to be returned she confusingly looked at me as if i was the issue and i had reminded her again that i had already checked in and all i needed was my key card. she upsettingly gave me back my ID, credit card gave and issued me my key card. This interaction was possibly the nastiest Customer Service i had ever Received. we went to our room stayed the night but not before reserving the next few night else where. I will never be back to Hampton inn & suites. and maybe one person coming back wont make a difference but that front desk worker is definitely a liability to this business. and i hope someone else reads this review before booking their stay here.

Walking on the carpet in my room in socks, my socks became filthy. Even the bed linens did not look clean. Coffee pot was filthy in one room and broken in the other. Gross.

Room above mine was extremely noisy starting shortly before midnight. The noise included showering and heavy walking across their room. Around 1 I called the front desk and the issue was resolved.

Most disgusting and nasty place. The sheets were not changed & had body fluids and hair all over them. There was stuff spilled all over the walls and my shoes stuck to the floor. Refused to stay and checked out 10 minutes after checking in.

We stayed at this property for a baseball and softball tournament. Obviously a lot of kids were included in our stay. Very few things "to do" in Elk City in between games, so naturally the kids all want to swim in the indoor pool. Ours was out of order for maintenance, of course. Air conditioning in the lobby, TV area, and hallways was out of order. Thankfully AC in the rooms still worked. Watching college football in the TV area with others we were with was rather uncomfortable with no AC - went and bought fans from Wal Mart because Hampton Inn didn't have any to provide. Evening desk attendant (it was a guy, don't know his name) was a jerk and told one of our dads that "we were terrible parents" for the way we were letting our kids roam freely around the hotel. Mind you, there was no pool and nothing outside the hotel for them to do. So naturally, they're going to roam and I'm sure be a little rowdy. But we were cognizant of other guests and made them stay relatively quiet (this was mid-afternoon, not at night). Desk attendant cussed at one of our kids, got into an argument with another dad, basically hated his life and was making sure we were involved. Also, breakfast starts at 7:00 AM, and if you're walking out the door at 6:55, do NOT expect them to let you pop in and grab a banana or muffin real quick. You are not allowed to access anything prior to 7:00:00 (their watch, not yours though).

I arrived at 1am and was exhausted. My room looked like the cleaning staff barely made the bed and wiped the room down. If it wasn't so late and I was getting up early, I would've changed rooms. Don't think I'll be back. Breakfast was subpar for how much they talked it up.

We stayed here with a dog, cat, and toddler. Check in was a bit crazy - their system was messing up so they had to reset all the doors and keys - which caused a lot of confusion with check ins (they forgot we had pets - so we were put on the 4th floor which isn’t great with a large dog). However the staff was very apologetic and nice. Location is wonderful! A/C worked great! Only reason I took off a star was there were some updates needed (the bathroom’s tub had some tarnish, elevator had messed up paint) and the pool was closed.

When we arrived, I asked about laundry and was told "yes" they had laundry and it cost $1.50 p/load - all quarters. I asked if they had a change machine and she replied "no." I asked: "how can guests do their laundry if you don't provide a change machine? People don't walk around with that many quarters." And the female at the desk replied "well, we don't have one." And the male replied "stuff happens." Very snotty - the both of them! I did not appreciate their snide, RUDE attitudes one bit! I've been coming to Hampton Inn for years and never had such horrible treatment. Plus, the door to our room was very difficult to unlock; the entry light was burned out, and there was mold around one section of the tub! This is unacceptable!! Then, the elevator doors are a mess - like someone ripped off the ads and the carpet is very worn and needs to be replaced. Oh, and we couldn't use the pool - they were doing maintenance. I completely understand maintaining a large hotel; however, wouldn't it make more sense to do it in the off season - not in JUNE. I really feel like a good portion of my money should be refunded for all the reasons listed above.

Only thing didn’t like was the shower was not clean, towels dingy, should not have been the case for 160.00 a nite. Everything else was great including a wonderful breakfast. Staff very nice.

This hotel is not what you expect from a Hampton Inn! Our room was filthy and in disrepair- we had to clean before we could spend a night. No shampoo (no apologies), just a shoulder shrug. Holes in the walls, never dusted, mold in shower - we weren’t even able to use it! Bugs everywhere! Bright spot - the Breakfast lady (Helen) was a joy! If not for her, we would have left feeling we had just had our worst hotel experience ever!
