The information on Expedia is totally exaggerated!!! The “suites” are OLD. They are clean but we were refused, by the manager, to get our room cleaned. Two days in a row, we were REFUSED housekeeping services. I was told if I wanted fresh towels and coffee, I could come pick up up towels. I was also told by the manager that he was not responsible for his employee that told me he would make sure my room would be cleaned the second day. Also that the employee I spoke to the day before, is not a manager and whatever he told me was insignificant. He’s the manager (God), and is not responsible for any employee on the property. He also said that he was busy with the property after the exit of the Winter Texans; NOT anyone or anything after that. So, I was just out of luck. If I want towels, I could come get them but he assured me that there would be no housekeeping services during my 4 day stay. Reserve a suite here at your own risk!!!; and know that the manager could care less whether you come here, or not. And that the manager has a God complex so if you want him to do anything, he expects reverence when speaking to him, or he will just hang up on you.

Front checkin person greeted me, checked me in, informed me of the breakfast accommodations and hours and hooked me up with bottle water. Simple, easy and need to know information. I call that efficient. Thank you.

Reminded me of the old motels we stayed in as kids when traveling on vacations. It was my misperception when I booked this. On the Expedia website it said free “Buffet Breakfast”. Not even close.

We have stayed at VP many times, normally 5 days at a time and as many as 60 days ! When checking in on this most recent visit I requested the suite that we have previously enjoyed and was told that the reservation we made through Orbitz was ridiculously low and that we would have to stay in another suite. Turns out the suite they assigned us was easier to get to, everything functioned properly and it was cleaner. Exact same footprint and all amenities the same except for the living room sofa, it was not a sofa sleeper. We sleep together, there were only two of us. No problem there. The faceless person in the back room giving instructions to the front desk staff should be demoted to groundskeeper.

Lousy service. There wasn't anyone around when we arrived, had to look everywhere for someone to give us our room. They didn't clean our room, because we were there when they came. Good room, bad service.

It's always a good decent place to stay, my last visit was nicer than this one. This visit they put me in a room that had nasty looking stains on the nightstands, no access to plugs on both sides of the bed, and pretty noisy because of the freeway. Also no shampoo and conditioner or soap had to go get some, so that was a bummer but for the price, it's whatever.
