- Property itself is good enough for the price but the location is terrible. The access is through a narrow dirty street. - The reception told about roof top restaurant, Spa and normal restaurant BUT I couldn't get into any of these because they told all these are fully reserved. I had to go outside for dinner but there is no nice place to eat near the hotel. I had no option that to eat at a low quality road side unhygienic shop. - I asked for the complaint / suggestion register then they gave me a paper and not the register meant for this purpose. - For the sake of face-wash, one person came to me when I was boarding taxi after check-out and told that he is the CEO and he wants to talk to me, though he was seeing that I am boarding the taxi on the roadside.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. The location is strategic because it has access to the CBD (Central Business District) and old town, making it an ideal destination for both business travelers and tourists as well. When you came to the hotel, we were fully booked. Not only that, on that evening we had a reservation for 60 plus guests at the restaurant and a large banquet event going at our hall, and hence, those guests accessing the outdoor BBQ zone made us keep the BBQ Restaurant closed for that evening. In spite of that, our waiters offered to serve your desired food at our lobby seating area, which you refused. Sky City Hotel is located right next to the famous Bailey Road, which is known to the city dwellers for the vast genre of food offered, which is a preferred destination for the foodies. If you had asked the Front Desk for assistance, they could have guided you well. The next morning, I got to know from our Front Desk associates about your dissatisfaction, and I immediately wanted to address this I remember asking you to do anything within my capacity to make it up to you. I even came running to talk to you one more time as you were going into the taxi to the airport. Guests are our top priority and we all work here to serve you only. I admit our shortcomings of not being able to pamper you as much as we should have. I humbly apologize and accept our setbacks. Dear Guest We allow room guests at our hotel, however as per our booking terms and policy any room guest(s) need to be signed in with the front desk after showing a photo ID (as per government requirement), irrespective of the length of visit. We appreciate this may have caused an inconvenience but hope you understand as this is a according to the law; our staff are limited other than explaining our policy and refusing entry without a valid ID. We hope other than this issue, everything else was as per your expectation and satisfaction and hope to see you again. Thank you.

The road to the hotel is too bad. It’s was narrow, dirty and located in a nasty place. The neighbourhood is terrible. I really don’t recommend anyone to go there. There were lots of hotels just on the main road with good neighbourhood.

Dear Mohammad, We are sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction of the neighbourhood. Many of our guests prefer our central location as it is right next door to the business districts of Malibag, Mothijheel etc as well as being just a few mins walking distance from Dhaka's popular thoroughfare - Bailey Road (recognised for its theatres, numerous boutiques, shops, schools, universities, fast foods, restaurants and various hangout places as well as famous institutions, national landmarks and government offices). We appreciate the hustle and bustle of the local area is not everyone's cup of tea however the appearance of the public road is beyond our control as its not owned by the hotel. The government is currently working on a new Metro line which in the near future will reduce congestion in the area, but this issue is widespread across Dhaka in case you are not familiar. Despite this, we are only one of few hotels in Dhaka South that has won internationally recognised awards consecutively since our opening - this is a testament to our service quality standards. The main road which you have recommended is part of the same neighbourhood and literally 30 seconds from the hotel. If however there is any other reason for your disappointment or if there is anything else we could have done better then we would love to know. Home away from home.
Every bit of business with this hotel goes like clock work. Airport pickup, accommodations, cleanliness, courtesy, comfort and a feeling of coming home; that's how welcoming they make it. Hats off to the manager, the kitchen staff, housekeeping, bell boy, and the unseen people who make it a success. Very impressed by the warmth I felt when I've stayed here twice and hope for more in the future!

Very nice Food in the breakfast buffet and dinner. Kind manager (Mr, Shaika) in the restaurant. But some of the waitresses are not that active. Nice room but phone for the room cleaning person in the corridor ring all day and night. It disturbs me and my colleague in another room. I called the front desk to do something but never fixed. seem like location is in the middle of markets, very crowded. but if you feel it as part of travel, it's ok. Never used the swimming pool and Gym but I visited and looked very nice and well managed.

My first time in Bangladesh and my new experience upon stepping into this lovely Dhaka city. The people here are very kind and polite, hardworking and morally motivated. Delicious local cuisine was the most famous “Kachi Mutton Beriyani” which available in Old Dhaka can be considered as the best in the world. Hotel front desk manager Mr. Md Showket Alam has been assisting me well one week before my arrival. I must thank Mr. Showket and his team who provided me all the necessaries during my stay. My deeply appreciated to Razu and Hassan being very proactive when carry out their duty, never forget to Miss Sabrina from the airport administrative who are committed on her excellent services, both my thumbs up for you Miss Sabrina. Nice place for business traveller

i would never recommend anyone to come to this hotel. i was really treated bad with reception personal. my wife came to visit me and they treated her like she wasn't meant for this hotel. i born and raised in USA never been treated like how they treated their customers here. this hotel is inside you have to walked to get to main road and its heavy traffic area, sometime took me about 30 min to get out of this area. stay way from this hotel if you want, thanks i'm never coming back to this hotel ever again. they need to train hotel stuff how to talk to their customers.

Dear Sir, Your reservation was made for a single person, as a result we cannot allow Female guest at your room against a single person reservation. If you had to take your wife to your room you had change the reservation to a couple reservation. And this is the Policy of Hotel Rules & Regulation. Our reception staffs explained you the whole scenario but you mis-behaved and threaten them instead. Our hotel is located only 120metres from the main road which hardly takes 30second by walking and 5seconds by any mode of transport. We are really sorry to say this kind of comment is intentionally done to confuse our guest and hamper our business & reputation.

ビジネスで使用しました。 送迎サービスは片道無料です。かなり連泊しても復路は有料となります。前半と後半の予約を分けたら良かったのでしょうか。ネゴしたら無料になりましたが、すごい不機嫌でしたね。 このビルの中でホテルの客室は6-7階のみの様です。2-5階はテナントビルとして使われています。エレベーターは分けられているようですが、非常階段は常に半開きのため、治安に関しては非常に不安です。 ミニバーの清算では、未使用のチャージも確認されました。チェックアウト時には気をつけましょう。 ランドリーサービスを使用しましたが、油臭が付いて戻って来ました。 ジムは立派です。しかしプールは濁っており、ドライサウナ、ミストサウナ、ジャグジーは、それぞれ別料金です。 レストランのテーブルウォーターは開封済み(補充?)のものも混ざっており、スタッフによる開封には注意が必要です。 客室701は、建物と窓枠の間に隙間があり、外と繋がっていました。そのためエアコンの効きが悪く、また騒音も気になりました。アサインされた場合は気をつけてください。 お値段次第でしょうか。画像から受ける好印象には気をつけてください。

Hotel staff are polite and helpful. You are welcomed at the airport with chauffeured car however the approach road to the hotel is a very narrow lane and congested. Otherwise overall experience was good.

Great Hidden Jem In Dhaka
This place is a small hidden gem. It’s a very quiet boutique hotel, nestled away in the midst of Dhaka traffic. All of the staff are top notch, from the concierge, to the housekeeping to the restaurant staff. Being Vegan, the restaurant staff was very extremely accommodating to my needs, especially Ms. Busra. She went above and beyond to help me with my dietary restrictions. The gym is very impressive, it has the full amount of machines, as a full service gym. The pool and sauna are also wonderful as well. I am very happy I stayed here. Thank you again!

Their room was perfect & so clean, staff behavior was good too. But they provide only swimming pool & Gym, should provide more like they have sauna bath, steam bath etc.

The hotel is excellent and the staff are friendly and professional. The only problem is that guests are smoking in non smoking rooms. Although the hotel has dedicated smoking rooms and areas, people still sneak a puff in the room. It makes it difficult for the hotel to secure proper non smoking rooms. I suggested that they put smoke alarm in the rooms.

外とは別世界で快適。 朝食も種類が多くて楽しめた。 ネット環境の問題とは言っていたが、レイトチェックアウトなどの料金の支払いにカードが使えなかったのがこのクラスの料金のホテルでは致命傷と思う。私はアメリカドルが余っていたから払えたが。

Wonderful hotel. Incredible city. Warm welcome!
I have traveled much of the world – for business and just as a traveler -- and by now I have made five visits to Dhaka in seven years, a wild impossible city that I love very much. This fifth visit I thought I would stay in Dhaka maybe ten days or two weeks, but I found the Sky City Hotel such a fine and welcoming home, that I stayed for more than a month. This fresh very new medium-sized hotel is lovely, with a beautiful dining room and a fine head chef (he worked at the Sheraton and gets international cuisine right ). Without exception the staff is welcoming, helpful, professional. The rooms are very nice and pretty big, a splendid bathroom furnished with high quality fixtures. The hotel gym, a commercial gym with members who are lawyers, business people, spoiled rich kids and some lifters, is a terrific. The manager has a talent for hiring people who do great jobs – he must treat them pretty well, for they seem happy. The hotel owner Mr. Islam in fact spends much time at the hotel, talking to people (me among them) on the nice sofas in the lobby and watching over his domain to make sure things run well. The immaculately clean rooms at night are quiet, and even quiet during the day, the air conditioning almost silent. and efficient. Ask for a few more hangers for the closet and they will appear in minutes. I recommend this hotel without reservation. Also, some prefer the leafier part of town in Gulshan -- not me. Here is the real energy of Dhaka.
