The main reception staff were horrible, they don’t understand the concept of customer service. Always reception calls were received and delay in service, even room service staff were incompetent. I needed to complain and then management staff named nusrat was the only one who was professional. Staff like in the main desk names Rafi was horrible and rude. They hang up on calls and probably one of the worst breakfasts in my travels. They have no variety, the staff at the restaurant were not professional or didn’t even try to have different options. I was so disappointed in my stay! I thought vip Expedia rating so I tried Amari! I will never ever set foot in that hotel again. Worst experience by far.

I had the worst experience in my hotel stay life. The staff was very arrogant, rude and nonprofessional. The room is full of dust.

Really bad experience, staff are not friendly. I went to watch football but they said you have to pay coupon to watch the game. Finally I watch football but they did not give my money back. Very unprofessional people.

Guests are not allowed after certain hours
There is a strict no guest policy after certain hours. This was not mentioned during check in. Security guards didn’t handle the situation well at all and started treating me like I have committed a crime. Reception was nice and explained the policy politely. This should’ve been mentioned in advance as I have never faced this at any hotels around the world.

This was my husband’s first visit to Dhaka from the USA, and considering Covid, we wanted to stay at a place that would work out for our family. Cleanliness plus safety were our first priorities. We were pleasantly surprised that Amari was very well kept and maintained the Covid guidelines. The security at the entrance made us feel safer. The folks at the concierge and front desk staffs were extremely attentive and helpful. The room was spacious and squeaky clean. All the amenities were working and the bed was comfortable. We had breakfast every day and did not have any issues (tummy aches that we experienced before at other places). The food was yummy and healthy options were there that we loved. Fresh omelette and dosa/aloo paratha were our favorites that were made to perfection! We also hosted a family dinner at Amaya on Jan 4th. Mr. Raihan was our host and he was phenomenal at helping out our elderly family members. Food was very good and everyone enjoyed the ambiance. Great memories! Amari also assisted us with the airport pickup and drop off. The entire experience to and from the Dhaka airport could trigger migraine to anyone, but our driver Shimul was fun to be with and he went above and beyond to help us! Overall, Amari and Amaya made our trip to Dhaka really pleasant and we appreciated everyone who we remembered and couldn’t name here! Thank you for everything!

The treatment as this hotel was not 5 star worthy. The pool was closed to all guests from 2pm - 5pm to accommodate another group staying there, and even after 5pm hotel guests were not allowed to bring in any outside guests within reason to use the pool. NOT A SINGLE ONE. Breakfast, which is standard complimentary in many lesser hotels was not complimentary here. When asked why, they had no reason other than “its our policy”... i politely asked they share feedback with management. If i knew some or these things before hand i would not have stayed here. On the plus side, the quality of the food was good.

Kindly note currently we have a sports Group staying with us & as per the contract we will not allow any other guests to use the Swimming pool from 2-5 pm. Unfortunately, you picked the same time to go for swimming. We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience. Secondly, I would also like to highlight the Swimming pool can only be utilized by the In House guests. And both our Security Department & our Front Office Team members have informed you about the policy & that is the reason why the guests from outside accompanying you to the Swimming pool were not permitted. You also need to consider we are strictly maintaining this policy keeping yours & all other guest's safety in our mind due to the current scenario. We would also like to highlight that you reserved with us with a room only plan & any other five start hotel would would follow the policy of the rate plan or it will be considered as the breach of contract between the property & Expedia. Finally, we are really happy to know that you really liked the quality of our food. We really hope that all the above justifications will be satisfactory to you & we genuinely look forward to welcome you back at Amari Dhaka very soon. Until then please take care & stay safe.

Low quality amenities. Modern spacious rooms.
Good hotel for a business stay (my 4th stay). Nicer rooms than the Westin but hotel lacks an executive lounge. Security seems pretty good with checks of vehicles and people entering. Bathroom amenities are cheap so bring your own!

I went back to Bangladesh from DC after 10 years. I stayed in that hotel for one night. The check-in service was awful. Manager on duty was very rude.
