Good value for money
Quite okay hotel. Staff is friendly and the lounge areas are really nice. Decent breakfast. Very good location and nice room. Hotel is good for families with kids, but for someone like me (Young professional) it is too busy and noisy with all the screaming and jumping kids at the pool (and people go down early and leave their towels). But overall a fine stay for a few days. Good value :)

Fin beliggenhet mellom Waterfront og sentrum
Hotellet ligger praktisk til med gangavstand til Waterfront og sentrum. Rommet var noe slitt, og det ble ganske kaldt både på rom og bad på kveldstid. Personalet kunne utvist mer service-innstilling.

An excellent lodging experience. The view of the canal was beautiful and serene. The food and drink options were exceptional and very economical. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was superior, except the desk light didn't work, even though i swapped out the light bulbs.

Found the walk to the Waterfront further than expected. Disappointed with the first room allocated, however changed to more favourable room. Very comfortable bed and value for money for the area.

One of the best decisions I made was staying at The City Lodge at the V and A Waterfront. Location is perfect. It is an attractive looking place about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the V and A Waterfront (where there are tons of resturants (try La Prada. Food is delicious), souvenir shopping, grocery store (in the mall in the basement), etc.. There are cops everywhere, so it was a safe walk that I did solo all the time, as I was traveling by myself. It is busy during the day around the hotel, but at night, as it is an area with a lot of corporate businesses, it got really deserted. I took ubers if going out at night. The hotel itself was clean and quiet. The staff are hard workers! Always willing to help make your stay amazing. They have breakfast and dinner at an extra charge. You have the choice between Contenental Breakfast or English Breakfast. I was there for a while so I did go to the coffee shop next door to the hotel and had oatmeal and tea there twice. It was delicious. The location is central to everything. 3 mins in an Uber to Gold Restaurant. 5 mins to Long street. The room was well appointed. Large bathroom, huge shower, air conditioning, refrigerator, windows open for fresh air, couch, sitting area with desk large mirror and good lighting. Vending machines in the lobby and they sell large bottles of cold water at the bar. The 'pool' is really hottub size and it is right next to the hotel restaurant. It was not clean. I was so busy, I wouldnt have used it anywa

We loved looking out onto the canal and the convenience of being able to walk to the waterfront. The staff was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Our stay was great! The room was modern, spacious, and clean. The walls in the room were a little thin, we could hear our neighbors at times but it wasn’t really an issue. The location was excellent - walkable to the main waterfront and felt safe.

Would recommend
We had a wonderful time staying here. The property was clean, in good condition, and felt safe. The only issue we had was that one day we returned in the evening to find the glass shower door was missing, and we later found some pieces of broken glass on the floor. I contacted the front desk, and they moved us to a new room. It was odd not to have been notified that one of the cleaners broke the door, but I'm happy they took care of it once we contacted them.

Very enjoyable stay in Capetown, great location
Great location (7 minutes safe walk to v&a, fairly close to city bus stop and around the corner from hertz, very friendly and attentive staff, good size, well equipped room and a good shower in bathroom - all at a good price. The bed was large and comfortable and we didn't hear much, if any, traffic noise. Didn't use most of the facilities as didn't need to.

The staff were very friendly and responsive. Construction works was ongoing but with minimal distraction. I definitely enjoyed my stay and I intend to return there with my entire family, the next time I visit Cape Town.
