Veldig koselig sted, men dessverre så er servicen meget dårlig. Mottakelsen på hotellet kan vel beskrives som meget laber, For å være et lite "hotell", så forventer man en varm og hyggelig mottakelse , men når resepsjonisten er mer opptatt av å "surfe" på internett, så sier det det meste. Internett forbindelsen forøvrig var meget dårlig også. I 2018, så forventer man mer. Kunnskapen fra hotellet side når det gjelder områdene var meget skuffenede. Hotellet er likevel koselig, men ikke så veldig imponert dessverre.

I want to start by greatly apologise for the bad experience you had with our staff member, as staff service is definitely something we take great pride in and has always been something special about Banhoek Lodge. I am very sorry to hear that this was not the case in your situation. I am sure to mention this to my team and hope to never have this situation again. If at al possible, I would like to know who you are reffering to in order for me to better take this situation further. I apologise for the wifi, we have been struggeling with Loadshedding in South Africa the past few weeks, and I suppose it was due to this. I am however very glad to hear that you found Banhoek cosy and I do hope that we have the honour of welcoming you back one day. Hospitality greetings

Stunning bedroom views from this lodge and exceptional service and kind attitude from Shannon ! Food was also great. It’s an older lodge that has been upgraded with excellent bathroom fixtures and main bedroom lighting. Wifi is a little slow, early morning hot water taps need to run a bit before hot water arrives and the sliding partition in our room 2 needs to be replaced with a frosted glass door as the current wooden sliding partition is a little stiff to open . Otherwise an excellent choice for your next vacation !

I can’t say enough good things about this resort! Banhoek Lodge completely blew me away! Elegant styling, & incredible views! Plus, all the staff members we, so warm & welcoming. I booked a wine tour online, & the company did not pick me up my girlfriend, & I. The staff at Banhoek Lodge tried their best to help me get in contact with the company that was supposed come and pick me up. After all of our failed attempts, they found another local company to take my girlfriend, & I around Stellenbosch for the day. The tour guide that they suggested was amazing! They save the day! I only had one day to experience Stellenbosch & they turned a horrible experience into a memorable one! I’ve stay at some of the best hotels in the world, from the Ritz, to the Jumeirah properties in Dubai.. & the service, hospitality, warmth, & helpfulness ranks right up there with them! Thank you for an amazing experience, and all the help that you given my girlfriend, & I during our trip to Stellenbosch. I would refer your property to anyone who asked about staying in Stellenbosch. Much appreciated! 😊

Loved my stay at this lodge. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lodge itself is located in a quiet picturesque region with spectacular mountain views. The rooms are well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The addition of a fire place in the room was awesome as the nights were cold. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the wait staff ensured you had a great start to your day. We found the location pretty central to everything and the parking was safe and secure. Would highly recommend.

While a couple of kilometers outside Stellenbosch the view and close proximity to two of the finest wineries more than compensates. The staff was most solicitous and the breakfast astoundingly good. Best eggs Benedict I have ever enjoyed

A perfect and very special stay
Banhoek Lodge is truly one of the best stays we have ever had. The room is gorgeous with perfect design, the bed comfortable and the views are absolutely stunning. The breakfast, homemade every morning by the lovely people that work there, is delicious. The staff is so welcoming and kind, and we especially want to thank Ms. Pamela for everything. This is a very special place and we will definitely be returning.

Banhoek Lodge is Franschhoek’s best kept secret. Nestled amidst several small vineyards, it has stunning mountain and valley views from every room. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the Cape wine lands.

Nice stay with incredible views. Noisy rooms
Nice stay with incredible views and pleasant front of house staff. The breakfasts were lovely on our balcony however it was an hour late one morning due to an admin error. The accessibility from main road is great and there are beautiful walks available on the estate. Clean rooms and well decorated. Main issues are that the toilet is not private from the rest of the room and we the sound proofing between rooms is very poor, we could hear conversations and TV in room next door which was disappointing.

The best hotel of our trip from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth! The room was very spacious and well maintained. The view from the rooms are spectacular, overlooking another wine estate, as well as the mountains around the hotel. Breakfast was nice. The location was also really good, close to several great restaurants in the region. Very romantic experience! They even gave us a free coupon for a wine tasting close to the hotel, which we really enjoyed.

Outstanding property with a stunning view
Outstanding stay at an updated, and smartly designed property with a breathtakingly beautiful (and completely unobstructed) view literally right in front of you. Great service too, with breakfast served in the common eating area or to your room at no charge—a nice touch during COVID and attempts to keep distance. The rooms are very spacious, have great furniture and finishings, and a terrace that is second to none for the aforementioned scenery. The stay could not have been better. I will definitely be back.

Simply incredible! Look no further !
we booked the deluxe room. If you are looking if you are looking for something special this room is the best view on the vineyards right in your backyard! The service was amazing, we felt right at home and pampered. Be sure to order one of their cheese plates which are also amazing. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and stay !

This is without a doubt the BEST place we stayed on our trip. Hotel is beautiful, the view from every room is breathtaking, the place is clean, warm and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent and above all was the staff, friendly, attentive went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and have an unforgettable vacation. This is a MUST if you are looking for a place to stay in the area. Stay for more than 1 night, 1 doesn’t feel like enough, you’ll be sad to leave as we were ;) Thanks a lot for a perfect stay!

Wunderschönes kleines Hotel, sehr freundliche Angestellte. Das Bett ist mit Heizdecken ausgestattet und diese wurden uns am Abend eingeschaltet, sodass wir nach dem Abendessen zu vorgewärmten Bett zurück kamen, sehr aufmerksam! Trevlig upplevelse med gångavstånd till vingårdar.
Trevligt hotell med underbar utsikt. Rimmen är stora, rena och trevliga. Sängarna en aning för smala. Man kan gå runt mellan olika vingårdar och prova viner vilket gör att man inte behöver bil varje dag. Personalen mycket serviceorienterad. .

The venue was top notch, the views beautiful this time of year and close to some of the best wines in the region. Staff very friendly and efficient and the breakfast service even remembered how we like our coffee! Highly recommend to anyone for some R&R away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

First class experience at the Banhoek Lodge
I have stayed at many places in my life, but the Banhoek Lodge is second to none. From the room to the staff to the views, we couldn’t have imagined a better place to holiday. Waking up and seeing the sun creep over the mountains and vineyards to the staff who would bend over backwards for any request, it was an amazing experience. I only wish we had more time to stay there. Thank you to all especially Maryke.

Beautiful location, wonderful room! The bathroom seems to be brand new and heating is not working however nobody knows how to fix it.
