The hotel is comfortable enough, i stayed on and off for a month and mostly was a pleasant stay. Room was ok, desk staff are diligent and helpful. Room service menu is extremely limited and often soke items unavailable, the room cleaning was haphazard, every day different parts were cleaned other days not and bins cleaned 2 out of 3 days. I would stay here again but nased on desk staff competency.

Phone in room didn’t work and desk service was unattended most times and had to walk around to find them. Installing a buzzer on the counter is my suggestion if the service desk is going to be left unattended

Rooms a it tardy for a chain such as Mecure.
I arrived with a migraine and got to the room and went to bed. I didn't realise the air cond didn't work until later so had to open the window as it was to warm. This let the road noise in. I put up with it the first night due to the migraine but the staff happily change dour room the next day. Rooms are a little old and a bit off for Mercure. Beds were fantastic though.

Very average! A former Travelodge property taken over recently by Mercure. Functional, but old and out-dated. Heating does not work in a lot of the rooms, so when you complain they give you a little fan heater to plug in! Lots of bus tour groups use this hotel.

Sadly the property was showing its age. The room wasn’t stocked with ample tea or milk. The fridge in the room froze everything. When we reported this we were told they know.

I thought it would be a fairly fresh and modern motel, but found to be of age, and noted the conditions of things, like damage in the elevator and general condition of the trimings. We go to our room, and hand soap in the bathroom is empty, and all soaps in the shower were low to nearly empty. These are the little things that give a sour experience

Handy to places. Friendly staff. Very disappointed in breakfast buffet. Food barely warm & bacon tasted old & hardly cooked. When sausages were replenished they were not cooked through & 2 choices of cut up fruit. Watermelon & tin peaches. Very disappointing for price charged

No Restaurant, was told they did pizza's and toasties as room service. 3 pizzas no toasties? And the pizza took an hour as the night manager (everything!) Burnt the first one (forgot about it) and had to do a second.

Chose to stay at the Mercure as it was close to an event I was attending for the week. When I went to use the laundry facilities not all machines were operational. The room was nice, however there was a smell coming from the bathroom that was unpleasant. Staff were friendly and welcoming to guests.

The hotel staff were lovely and friendly. The room was very basic but clean. The location was great too. Minor issues.....No shower gel, just an empty container. Room Service came to clean the room while we were out, but only made the bed and didn't empty the rubbish bin from take away food. They never replaced dirty / used cups / cutlery or refilled the shower gel. The breakfast was very pretty lack luster too. We paid $782 for 3 nights and i don't feel it was worth the money. We thought we were staying with a Mercure Hotel which usually have very good standards, but we were later advised it was an old travel lodge until a few months ago. We've stayed in some lovely hotels for much less. I would research better next time as I just went with the name. We won't fall for that again.

Disappointing
The aircon was old and whilst it worked okay it really didn't cool the room. There were also wet face cloths and towels still in the bathroom so the room had not been cleaned properly.

Noticing that the Breakfast was on until 10am we arrived on our 2nd day at 8.45 to be told that it was closed. We proceeded to the lifts and was told from front desk that he was sorry he looked at his watch wrong and it was open. We then proceeded into the dining room and found that there was scrappings of baked beans, 3 chipolatas, no mushrooms, very little bacon. Needless to say we did not go back again. On arriving back to the hotel one day, 2 ladies behind the counter, we said good morning and no reply from either of them. The room was fine, hotel fine but customer service was left wanting.

Overall stay was excellent we had a leak on our floor which in turn we were put into another room, staff were excellent, breakfast was great, the only down fall was the cleanliness, each room had dirty floors the jugs weren’t clean and hair in the bathroom.. Need to tighten up on the cleaning and it would have been an excellent stay all round.

Room smells, very old set up and serving rotten fruits and few days old cut fruits and breads in breakfast. I think its catering is contracted so lots of cost cutting. They were closing the BF at 8.30 am.we had to ask for single single bread each time. Not much choice
