Though hotel personnel was mostly friendly and courteous, we didn't really felt home in this impersonal atmosphere. Though announced as a "VIP hotel" we didn't experience any perks other than a bottle of "still water" which tasted worse than tap water in the US.
If I book a room for two adults and an 8-year-old, I expect that an additional camp bed is ready for us. After I asked for it, I was told that they wouldn't recommend it because then the room will become very tight because of space. When I responded that this wouldn't be a problem, the front desk guy had to admit that they "ran out" of camp beds...and obviously also out of blankets which meant that I had to use a woolen blanket and my daughter sleeping in our bed.
Parking: Berlin is a car city, which means that decent parking is available everywhere, also around the hotel. However, none of the parking meter where in operation and nobody of the hotel personnel was able to tell me if I can park there or not. What they did though was to offer me the garage for 25 Euro per day.
Breakfast: Breakfast offers a huge selection of freshly made items, you will not miss anything. The waiters are simply fantastic and really try to pamper their guests.
Rooms: Nothing to complain, nothing to cheer.
All in all: Disappointing.
