We are sorry to know that the hotel area didn't meet your expectations. Regarding the homeless people sleeping on the streets close to the hotel, the hotel management is working tirelessly on this issue and we all hope this problem will be solved. However, we are located in the city center, very well connected with metro lines 2 & 3, and close to main tourist attractions such as La Rambla, Plaça Catalunya, Boqueria Market, etc. There are plenty of options for bars and restaurants, too.
