Perfekt beliggenhet
Vi var familie med 2 voksne og en tenåring som hadde booket et rom for 3 personer. Rommet var mer enn stort nok, hadde god plass, men kanskje litt spartansk møblert. Rommet var veldig rent og pent. Beliggenheten var helt perfekt for de utfluktene vi ønsket. Alt var innen gangavstand. Frokosten var også bra

Came way too early, around 11:00, and expected to leave my bag and check in later, but Emma at the reception sorted it out and got me a room super early. Great breakfast, friendly staff, cheap rooms for excellent location and great service

Would not stay again.
Breakfast is very good. Staff nice and friendly. The local area is pretty good, and walking distance to most attractions down town. The standard room was less then expected. Weird shape of room, bathroom very small and cold floors. Housekeeping clean our room very late, even at 16.00 our room was not cleaned. We usually go out after breakfast, come back to freshen up before dinner in the afternoon and expect our room to have been cleaned, which did not happen any of the 3 days we stayed there. No minibar price list in the room, be cautions as 0.5l water is charged 4.5 euro. Both wife and me also got a few bug bites while sleeping in the room, although did not see any bugs while awake. Will be looking elsewhere for our next trip to Amsterdam.

As far as the housekeeping issue is concerned, I am really sorry to see that you did not get service during your stay. This is definitely not the NH standard and therefore please let us know in case something like this happens, as we can take imediate action. Regarding the layout of the room, I am sorry to see that it was not up to your satisfaction. We hope we get the opportunity to show you one of our other rooms in the future. Moreover, concerning the bug bites, I can assure you that this matter is seriously addressed by our management team. Unfortunately due to safety reasons not all rooms are provided with a window that can open. Our rooms are all provided with an air system that provides each room with fresh air. I apologize if this was not working correctly. I also believe my team has not informed you properly regarding our restaurants. We have one restaurant with 'comfort' food The Patio, but we also offer De Vijff Vlieghen. De Vijff Vlieghen is located next door, but also belongs to NH City Centre. They offer a variety of excellent dishes with a European/Dutch cuisine. The restaurant is perfect if you are looking for a 3/4 course menu. We all hope to welcome you again. Most welcoming staff ever!!!
In Amsterdam for a weekend workshop and had a great stay. Location fantastic!! The only "negative" thing would be the shape of the room which felt a bit odd and the fact that just one small window almost in the corner, so was a bit dark. But was not there to spend time in the room, so all good. The best part was the amazingly friendly staff. All we encountered were super welcoming,, friendly and remembered us smilingly the second day of breakfast. And that was a great breakfast!! So staff really create a nice atmosphere, thank you <3

Thank you so much for a brilliant stay! My daughter & I came for a 4 day/3 night stay. I want to thank Liz at the front desk so much, we showed up at 12pm and we explained we were exhausted & she said let me see if I can get you a room, & she did!! Convenient location for walking the city for site seeing. Centrally located. The room was queen bed with city view. Very comfortable bed, size of room was very big for European standard. Staff was kind and responsive. Only one minus- the outside noise level on Saturday/Sunday. Outside noise woke us up both nights. No issue with noise Monday night during our stay. Recommend hotel !

Spuistraat is a narrow but busy street in the city center. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Occasionally, cigarette smokers would be standing near the entrance and sometimes the elevator would be a little stinky. The hotel is smoke-free, but, like most areas in Amsterdam, smokers congregate by the entrance as they are not aware of the impact on non-smokers. A simple sign to direct smokers away from the building entrance would be enough as everyone is extremely polite and seems to care about others. Great location for the New Year as we could watch fireworks above the buildings and have our own private party in our room.

Most family rooms have stairs. Ours had a very steep staircase to get in to the room, and I don’t recall seeing any warning when booking. Having said that, I thought the staff was excellent. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I thought more than one went beyond what I would expect at a typical higher end hotel.

Great front desk staff.
Ashley at the front desk was a joy. She was so pleasant and kind. The mattress was so uncomfortably firm. Sleep was difficult and unpleasant.

We arrived to the city early in the morning. The hotel was happy to store our luggage until check in. We came back a little before check in time and asked if our room was ready. The room was not ready yet but they offered to show us another room that was available. The staff was very accommodating. We also appreciated the small store with snacks and drinks.

We enjoyed our stay at NH city center. We could walk or take the tram anywhere in the city or beyond. Can't beat the location! And because of the street it's on it was very quiet. The hotel itself was very clean. Staff was nice but not super communicative.

Lovely hotel
Mini honeymoon trip to Amsterdam was lovely. The hotel were helpful every day, upgraded us to a canal view room for our honeymoon. It was the little touches, always had coffee and drinks in the room, lovely towels and bed sheets. Free drinks one day if you opt to not have sheets changed (better for the environment). Overall would recommend
