En natt hos Lobelia
Ankom hotellet i deres shuttle 07:00, og rommet var allerede klart. Rommet var av god standard, og sengen var behagelig å sove i. Dusjen hadde godt trykk, og varmt vann var ikke noe problem. WIFI fungerte nesten hele tiden, selv om det falt ut en kort periode et par ganger. Hastigheten var også akseptabel. Servicen var upåklagelig. Jeg forsøkte ikke frokosten, men jeg spiste middag der, og maten var både god på smak, og fornuftig priset. Ville ikke nølt med å velge Lobelia igjen.

Highly recommended
This hotel is always our home in Addis. The friendly staff who recognises us when we come back, the five minutes distance to the airport and the 15 minutes walk to the nightlife are just some of the reasons for us coming back again and again. In addition, it's reasonably priced and has a simple but tasty breakfast buffet.

Fantastisk opphold
Hotellet lå nær flyplassen samtidig som det var mange restauranter og butikker i nærheten. Det var lett å forklare taxisjåførene hvor de skulle kjøre oss, noe som ikke er selvfølge i Addis. Rommet var stort med veldig god seng, badet var fint med veldig bra dusj. Fint frokostrom på toppen av bygningen. Best av alt var allikevel betjeningen som var utrolig serviceinnstilt. På avreisedagen, på kvelden fikk vi tilbud om dusj og skift. Fantastisk. Alt i alt veldig bra opphold.

Lobelia - berre nære flyplassen!
Vi hadde eit greitt opphald på hotellet i to korte netter. Nær flyplassen, henteteneste. Reinhald og finish kunne vore betre. Frukosten var svært enkel, men tibs var god. Ingen jus eller anna kaldt drikke! Noko flyplasstøy. Relativt høg pris for så låg standard.

Landing in Ethiopia, I had no idea what to expect...I was returning to the U.S. from a few months in South Africa on Ethiopian Airlines and, on a whim, booked one night in Addis and one in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire as it was permitted in my itinerary. I'm so, so glad that I did! I'm even looking at options to be able to work in Addis, as I found the diversity, history, and energy of the city/nation to be so compelling. After just mentioning to the staff at Hotel Lobelia my itinerary and that I was keen on local recommendations for 20 hours in Addis, the hotel immediately booked a convenient and easy-to-find shuttle driver for me both directions as well as introduced me to Abay, a tour guide with whom I was fortunate to spend the evening and the following morning. Abay was amenable to my photographic and sight-seeing goals, and we hit the city hard in the evening and the following morning....indeed it was a whirlwind of a trip that left such an impression on me. The hotel room was modest but so pleasant and had everything I needed. Also I appreciated that the bar/coffee area downstairs is open 24/7 if you need a bottle of water or a cup of Joe at 5 a.m. as I did to keep the street photography flowing. Location couldn't be beat, either. A trivial drive (5 min? 10 min?) from the airport. Highly recommended to those on a layover like I was, or looking for a beautiful base on their way into or out of Ethiopia! Ameseginalehu, Hotel Lobelia and Abay! I'll be back!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel; the staff were very friendly and helpful, and all my correspondence with the hotel was answered promptly. The hotel is located close to the airport, and the shuttle bus service to and from the airport is reliable. Although the Hotel Lobelia is not a 5-star hotel and does not aim to be, it provides great value for money.

Stay was great. Very good customer service from the shuttle driver to the receptionist at the hotel. We love every moment. The only thing that bothered us was the WiFi. It kept cutting off and slow at some times but overall, great experience. The food was also very good. I will recommend it to people traveling to Addis.

夜9時30分に空港で、すぐにシャトルを見つけることができ、問題なくホテルへ行くことができました。ホテル内のレストランで夕食を食べることもできました。レセプション、レストランのスタッフがフレンドリー。親切でした。 朝ごはんは7時から。6時45分にシャトルで空港へ向かったので、朝ごはんを食べることができず残念でした。

Great value; friendly staff; convenient location
I stayed in Hotel Lobelia for a total of 5 nights during 3 separate times in July. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10min drive from Bole international airport, & a free hotel airport shuttle is provided. This was perfect for me as I had to fly in & out of Addis Ababa a couple of times as I traveled around Ethiopia. Besides being close to the airport, the hotel is also very close to many other establishments, such as restaurants, cafes, shops, mall, etc. There is also an ATM just outside the hotel lobby so this was extra convenient. The 3 different rooms I stayed in during my 3 separate stays were all spacious, satisfactory, & clean. The bed was quite comfortable, & the wifi worked well in the room. The bathrooms are quite small, however, & can use some upgrades, but overall it was fine, and the hot water shower was great. On one of my stays, I did end up getting upgraded to one of the suites, which was a very big room with a very big bathroom. They serve a buffet breakfast which included traditional Ethiopian dishes, and sometimes eggs & pancakes, in addition to toast, fruits, juices, coffee, & tea. Besides breakfast, food is available all day at their restaurant, as well as room service. The food at the restaurant is quite good. Laundry service was also good – I dropped it off just before 8:30am & got it back just after lunch. They also have luggage storage. The overall service is really good here; plus all the staff are really nice, friendly, & accommodating.

A quaint older hotel a short walk away from the Airport. The entire staff from doorman was more than welcoming. Internet could be better. Had to go down to the lobby area for continuous signal. Showr has its individual tank soo… Hot!! If you like it that way. Power went off a few times but don’t panic, generator kicked on within 5 minute. You get what you pay for. When it comes to hospitality 5 STARS!

It was wonderful cozy and will be a hotel i would recommend to all friends. Your staff were awesome. Thank you for a great stay. Maybe a safety deposit box with clerk would be better than in room. As your warning about safety box integrity was off putting as i felt that i had to carry all my documents with me. 4.8/

The staff is very helpful and accommodating. very customer service oriented. booked my tours of Addis Ababa, Lalibela and Gondar from the tour guide "Abay" at the hotel who arranged and coordinated everything...everything ran smoothly thanks.....Also stayed at this hotel from May 8th thru the 12th and I would like to thank the GM "Samson Befekadu" for arranging that extra late checkout, on my last day. as I mentioned they were very accommodating even permitting me to store our extra luggage at the hotel while we traveled to different areas at no charge.
