Location, Location, Location! Only 1 1/2 blocks to the beach! This is a great hotel for that alone, but that’s where it ends. The outside looks nice enough, but the carpet was dirty, the bathroom was filthy (minus the toilet, which was clean), the sink was disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned at all, the bottom of the bathtub had been painted, and the “bedspreads” are more like a very thin coverlet which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Mine had stains all over it. We were freezing, so we had to fold the coverlets in half and put our clothes on top of them for warmth. The beds were decent, but sketchy, and we had to first inspect them for bedbugs. One mattress cover had brown stains on it. Be aware that the property manager is not onsite, but rather two blocks away and that there isn’t any daily maid service (though a few clean towels showed up one day.) There we’re no washcloths or hand towels either. When we got there the carpet on one side of the room was sopping wet. I reported it and he said someone would be over to wet vac it up, but no one ever came. We had a balcony room, which was perfect for viewing the 4th of July fireworks. The property manager at the other property where you check in was very nice and helpful. I would stay there again for the convenience, but I would bring my own cleaning supplies and scrub the bathroom first, as well as wash clothes and hand towels. Also be advised there are three levels with no elevator.
