This hotel is very unhygienic had dirty unwear in my room on arrival and drug paraphernalia all over the resorts. Super unsafe its a disgrace and should be closed down

Did not feel safe in this hotel. There were police upon arrival and people loitering. Hotel was run down for example shower fittings falling off and taped up

Drive Home
The accommodation was just ok. Overnight stay. Older facility, rooms need a lots of work & TLC. The check in experience was extremely poor. No one at Reception & there was a few customers waiting to check in. After waiting for a while & a few phone calls that got no answer. A resident came & told us to hell loud as the person would be at the back of the office & yes there he was (maybe sleeping) no apologies given. The surrounding area has deteriorated in the last few years. The area was not inviting but the views of the lake across the road are beautiful. Such a shame, so much potential.

Really dirty room and really run down. There was no light in the bathroom .The cold water in shower didn't work, reported it, first manager ignored it, after several complaints it was barely repaired, we missed our dinner reservation. There was a kettle but no crockery or cutlery in the room to make tea or coffee, I request it, was given dirty cups & plates with dried food scraps on it. The bedside table had dead bugs on it and dirty yoghurt cups were still in the room from previous guests. The hotel was like a slum , really dirty, everything was broken and we felt unsafe. We slept on top of the beds on top of blankets as they were rock hard and we woke up sore and itchy. The games room was being used as a junk dumping ground, the whole place was disgusting. Unfortunately I paid a lot to stay there. Don't waste your money.

Location, location, location
We had an accessible room. We didn't need an accessible room but I can see that for those that do it is quite well set up. But the bathroom didn't have a door, just a curtain, not ideal for the able bodied. Also the water from the shower spread all across the bathroom floor, again not ideal, would be okay if a mop had been provided. Property in general looks very tired but the location is fantastic and renovations are obviously underway. So it's on the way up but has a little way to go.

Close to everything in The Entrance however over priced and very very rundown and out dated. If work was done would be an amazing place to stay.

This will have to be one of the worst places I have ever stayed then motel was in very bad condition and pool was not working air Cond was not working pipes were leaking in the bathroom and paint was chipping off all the tiles.

Just… don’t. This accommodation should not be open to the public. I am unable to post a photo but wish I could. Paint peeling off walls, paint flaking from tiles in bathroom and sticking to you in shower, carpets stained throughout, stained toilets and no facilities.

Water was out on arrival and again before 7am the next morning. A council truck was parked across the road with their generator going full ball for their water blaster to clean the walkway was quite annoying 😒. Pool could have been cleaner.

Dead moths and live ones and live ones in the room , mystery stain on the carpet, broken wardrobe door, really bad odour in reception area , terrible bed , loose balcony railing , broken door frame.the list goes on. not worth the money.

Like others say the photos here must be at least from 10 years ago. While it is still ok for the price, it could do we a substantial renovation. Keep reminding youself of the price and location.

Great location, but the pictures online are probably 20 years old. The place is really rundown and quite after safe for families or anyone.filthy rooms and maintained. Honestly would have been better sleeping in the car

After our door swipe battery dying and locking us out, management took 45 mins to come back to have the door opened. It was the attitude of the man who had to manually come up and open the door; he was vulgar and rude, and swearing and it made us feel so, so uncomfortable. It was a horrible experience to listen to him while we waited. We got moved to another room while waiting to retrieve our bags from the locked room- even then we had to wait for these new keys. The place was tidy, but so run down. It didn’t feel clean at all. Very visible signs of rust and incomplete repairs around the room, especially in the bathroom. The couch was old and worn. The whole hotel is in need of repair, updating and refurbishing. The microwave was dirty; we had one spoon, no plates to be able to eat any food off. We felt unsafe parking the car behind the motel. The entrance sign is covered with graffiti, which should have been our first red flag. One camera in back car park, no real fencing. Was worried to leave our car there overnight. The tennis court is useless and over grown. If you’re looking for a cheap bed for the night, it will do the trick, but recommend finding anywhere else to stay if you’re looking for anything more than this.

Dear guest.thank you for your feedback, please allow me on behalf of El Lago to sorry to you.when you reported the door locker was broken, we allocated you to another room immediately, we did not ask you to wait and stand in front of your room. one of our staff already unlock another room for you to have a rest because we do know you are tired. management drive the vehicle to maintenance shop to get the spare key for you this is why it took 45mins back. your request was our priority.our housing keeping staff has 7 years professional experience and also we do not recycle sheets at all. we never adv tennis court online, the tennis court unavailable. we do willing to provide spoons or other supplies if you would like to let us know what you need.We do apologize for the man who was fixing the door, very sorry for that. thank you for your time and El Lago is always keen to be better as much as we can. Sorry for any inconvenience.Best regards

Daughter found a cockroach in the drawer and the back of the door lock was missing in the 1st room we were put in. The room my mum and sister were put in only had 1 dim light in the main living/ sleeping area as the staff said they had no spare light bulbs for the other light fittings. Fridges all froze all contents. Vending machines were all empty. Lounge chair out by pool was broken. However my mum did have a fall from her wheelchair trying to get into her room and transferring to her walker and one of the staff members were very helpful coming in to help us get her up, so thank you for that.
